Anthony Lerew clears waivers, will head to AAA Omaha

We touched on his DFA earlier, and it appears that Anthony Lerew has cleared waivers and has wisely accepted assignment to AAA Omaha. Given the generally unsettled nature of Kansas City pitching, staying with the organization gives Lerew a solid chance to make an impression again in the Majors if he can get back on track. Though at this point in his career, that is exceedingly unlikely.
